Red Hill Estate Single Vineyard Shiraz comes from the Mossolini Vineyard at Balnarring on the Mornington Peninsula. The vines grow on a gentle slope facing north-west.

The fruit ferments in hand plunged open fermenters, spending up to 10 days on skins. The wine is then pressed and racked to French oak barrels of various coopers and toasting levels, which add complexity.

After malolactic fermentation and 18 months of ageing, the barrels are assessed. The most suitable are chosen for the final blend. The wine is aged further in bottle prior to release.

Crimson purple, Red Hill Estate Single Vineyard Shiraz has dark fruit and peppery flavours with a velvety tannins finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
