The Aldo Barossa Valley Grenache
Wine
Naked Run The Aldo Barossa Valley Grenache draws from Aldo's Vineyard, planted in the early 1940s in the southern Barossa.
It is named after winery co-founder Steve Baraglia's father Aldo Baraglia, who tended the vineyard's gnarly old Grenache vines his entire life.
The fruit is hand harvested and crushed into open fermenters. A percentage of the grapes are left as whole bunches, and small parcel undergoes natural fermentation.
After around 14 days on skins the wine is basket pressed into seasoned French oak barrels for a short maturation. The wine is bottled early to capture fresh fruit characters.
Deep cherry red, Naked Run The Aldo Barossa Valley Grenache is rich, well rounded and persistent. Dark fruit flavours dominate. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
