Wine

Elgee Park Estate Grown Chardonnay is drawn from vines planted in 1979 at Merricks North on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. The site looks across Port Phillip Bay to Melbourne.

The fruit is carefully handpicked when perfectly ripe. Once delivered to the winery, it is destemmed and whole bunch pressed.

After settling, the juice is racked to French oak barrels for fermentation with regular lees stirring. The wine undergoes partial malolactic fermentation in the spring and matures for 11 months, adding texture and complexity.

Golden straw, Elgee Park Estate Grown Chardonnay balances stone fruit and fresh citrus flavours with nutty honey notes. Cellaring potential is five years.
