Barossa GSM
Wine
Elderton Barossa GSM is grown in the estate vineyard at Greenock in the Barossa Valley, in free draining soils rich in ironstone. The wine is predominantly Grenache with Shiraz and some Mourvèdre.
The Shiraz open ferments on its own, while the Grenache and Mourvèdre are co-fermented. These are transferred to seasoned French oak to mature for 15 months. The Shiraz is blended in just before bottling.
Medium red, Elderton Barossa GSM marries the blue fruit flavours of the Grenache, the richness of its Shiraz and the earthiness of the Mourvèdre. Cellaring potential is seven years.
