The Hayes Boy Grenache
Wine
clos Clare The Hayes Boy Grenache draws from the McKays Vineyard, planted in the limestone and slate soils of Watervale in the Clare Valley.
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and cold fermented as whole berries. After a short period resting on skins the wine is pressed and matured for six months in seasoned French oak.
Bright crimson purple, clos Clare The Hayes Boy Grenache is medium bodied with red fruit flavours, fine but firm tannins and a savoury finish. Cellaring potential is six years.
