Calliope Grand Topaque
Wine
Buller Calliope Grand Topaque is made with Muscadelle fruit from the dry grown Calliope Vineyard, first planted in Rutherglen in 1921 by Reginald Langdon Buller.
The fermenting wine is fortified and placed into a solera system, meticulously overseen to ensure only the highest calibre of wine makes it to the bottle.
Calliope Grand Topaque, previously called Tokay, is classified as Grand by the Winemaker's of Rutherglen classification system for fortified wines. This means the wine is blended to an average age of 11-19 years.
A deep amber hue, Buller Calliope Grand Topaque displays flavours of honey, toffee and cold tea. Already fully matured, it is released for immediate enjoyment.
