Balgownie Estate Bendigo Centre Block Shiraz is handpicked from the winery's original 1969 plantings of Shiraz, situated on a gentle slope at Maiden Gully outside Bendigo.

The fruit is destemmed, partially crushed and pumped to open vats for wild yeast fermentation. It spends three weeks on skins with hand plunging and minimal pump overs.

The wine is then racked to new and seasoned French oak barrels to mature for 12 months. It is bottled unfined with a small sulphur addition before spending two years in bottle prior to release.

Deep crimson purple, Balgownie Estate Centre Block Shiraz is complex and sumptuous with a savoury edge. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
