St Leonards Wahgunyah Shiraz
Wine
All Saints Estate St Leonards Wahgunyah Shiraz is made from gnarled old vines with roots set deep in the estate vineyard's sandy soils. Wines have been made from St Leonards grapes since the 1860s.
Picked when perfectly ripe, the fruit is fully destemmed. It ferments in open vats with hand plunging three times a day. The wine is run to barrel while it is still warm and fizzing. It matures for 12 months in French oak.
Deep purple, All Saints Estate St Leonards Wahgunyah Shiraz has sweet, savoury dark fruit flavours, and a long oak finish. Cellaring potential is eight years.
