Wine

Primo Estate Joseph La Magia Botrytis Riesling Traminer blends Riesling from Clarendon in McLaren Vale with late harvested Traminer from the Barossa Valley.

The Riesling fruit is carefully laid out on handmade racks, then inoculated with a pure strain of Botrytis cinerea: a technique developed by winemaker Joseph Grilli.

The fruit is left for one month to allow the Botrytis mould to work its magia – or 'magic' – producing grapes that are concentrated in sugar and flavour. They are then crushed and slowly fermented.

The Traminer grapes are dried naturally (without using Botrytis) and fermented separately, then blended with the Botrytis Riesling to add subtle spicy notes.

Golden straw, Primo Estate Joseph La Magia Botrytis Riesling Traminer has succulent fruit flavours, soft sweetness and zippy acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
