Wine
Paringa Estate Robinson Vineyard Pinot Noir is a collaboration between winemaker Lindsay McCall and Dr Hugh Robinson, a highly respected Mornington Peninsula viticulturalist.
The fruit is sourced from a small block of MV6 clone Pinot Noir, grown in the Robinson Vineyard at Tuerong. This site produces fruit that markedly contrasts with Paringa Estate's Red Hill grapes.
Fermentation is in a single 3,500 litre French oak foudre. Depending on the vintage, the wine matures in 40-60% new French oak.
Rich crimson, Paringa Estate Robinson Vineyard Pinot Noir is fragrant and textured, with a sweet red fruit core and fine, savoury tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
