The Eleventh Hour Shiraz
Wine
Massena The Eleventh Hour Shiraz was originally sourced from 1950s plantings of Greenock Shiraz saved from being uprooted at the eleventh hour.
Today the fruit draws from vineyards across the Barossa Valley. Keeping each vineyard parcel separate, the grapes are destemmed without crushing and open fermented.
After basket pressing, the batches are aged in seasoned oak for at least 12 months, then age further in tank prior to blending and bottling. There is no fining or filtration.
Deep purple, Massena The Eleventh Hour Shiraz has rich dark fruit flavours, supple texture and fresh acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
