Old Vine Semillon
Wine
Kaesler Old Vine Semillon draws from the Kaesler Home Block in the Barossa Valley, where Semillon was planted in 1961 in loam soils over clay.
The wine is inspired by Semillons of the Hunter Valley. The grapes are handpicked in the early morning, then chilled to 5°C and pressed to tank. After fermenting for two weeks, the wine is racked and left to rest for one month on lees.
Clear pale straw, Kaesler Old Vine Semillon is light bodied with tart citrus flavours and a good balance of creaminess and crunchy acid. Cellaring potential is seven years.
