Estate Shiraz

Taltarni Estate Shiraz is made with estate grown Pyrenees fruit, predominantly Shiraz from the winery's oldest vines. A small percentage of Mourvèdre rounds out the blend.

The fruit is harvested in several passes of the vineyard to ensure each parcel develops fully. Each small batch is kept separate throughout fermentation and maturation to encourage unique characteristics to form.

Some of the fruit is added as whole bunches and kept submerged during the ferment to build richness and complexity. Prior to bottling the wine matures in French oak barrels for 16-18 months.

Deep red violet, Taltarni Estate Shiraz is medium bodied with dark forest fruit flavours, subtle oak and long, dusty tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
