Drumborg Vineyard Riesling

Seppelt Drumborg Vineyard Riesling is sourced exclusively from the mature Drumborg Vineyard, planted by Karl Seppelt in 1964. Riesling was the first variety planted.

Located at Henty in south-west Victoria, the Drumborg Vineyard is swept by icy winds from the Southern Ocean. Henty is developing a reputation as one of Australia's leading cool climate wine regions.

The fruit is handpicked. Most parcels are crushed, pressed and the juice is partially clarified with some solids included. The remainder is whole bunch pressed with full solids.

All batches are fermented in stainless steel at 13°C prior to maturing on lees for one month before bottling.

Pale straw green, Seppelt Drumborg Vineyard Riesling shows innate purity with intense citrus flavours, fine mineral acidity and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 25 years.
