Drumborg Vineyard Pinot Noir
Wine
Seppelt Drumborg Vineyard Pinot Noir is sourced exclusively from the Drumborg Vineyard in south-west Victoria's Henty region, planted by Karl Seppelt in 1964.
The fruit is handpicked and destemmed into small open fermenters, with a proportion of whole bunches included. Fermentation occurs on skins, with partial barrel fermentation.
The wine matures for nine months in French oak barrels of various sizes, typically one third new.
Ruby red, Seppelt Drumborg Vineyard Pinot Noir is a complex, layered wine with fine tannins and a backbone of toasty oak. Cellaring potential is seven years.
