Reserve Pinot Noir
Wine
Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir is the culmination of strict selection. The fruit is primarily sourced from the Amphitheatre A Block, a steep north facing slope below the winery planted in 1985.
The handpicked fruit is fermented in three tonne open fermenters. There is some whole bunch inclusion to add complexity. Maturation occurs over 10 months in new and seasoned French oak barrels.
The wine is meticulously made with minimal intervention at the winery to allow the vineyard to express itself.
Cherry red, Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir is powerful with vibrant dark fruit flavours and spice. It finishes long with chalky, persistent tannins.
It is made only in exceptional vintages. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
