100 Year Old Vines Shiraz
Wine
Château Tanunda 100 Year Old Vines Shiraz is sourced from two low yielding Shiraz vineyards, one in the Eden Valley and the other in Nuriootpa, both planted over a century ago.
The grapes are destemmed but not crushed. They spend seven days in small open stainless steel fermenters. Gentle hand plunging and pump overs extract the aromas, colour and tannins.
After fermentation the wine is basket pressed, completing malolactic fermentation in a mix of American and French oak. After maturing for 18 months, the wine is bottled without filtering or fining.
Deep red, Château Tanunda 100 Year Old Vines Shiraz has rich dark fruit flavours, ample tannins and exquisite balance. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
