In 1845 the Hart family settled in the Barossa Valley dreaming of a fruitful life on the land. In 1902 the family planted their vineyard, and in 2007 their descendants Alisa and Michael Hart founded Hart of the Barossa.
Hart of the Barossa is the latest incarnation of the family's certified organic viticultural tradition. They use no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides or artificial fertilizers. These organic principles extend to the winery, where no fining agents are added, making all their wines vegan friendly. Their vineyards include the family's over 100-year-old vines. Hart of the Barossa craft bold and authentic wines to truly reflect the soils and climate of the Barossa Valley.
Only two barrels of Hart of the Barossa's top wine Ye Faithful Old Vine Shiraz are made each vintage. The winery's other highlights are Ye Brave Shiraz and The Blesing (with one 's') Cabernet Sauvignon.
