First Creek

Established in 1996 on a parcel of land with 'First Creek' as its northern border, First Creek is owned and operated by the Silkman family. Based at Pokolbin, they are both a winery and the Hunter Valley's largest contract winemaker.

First Creek source fruit from prominent vineyards across the Hunter Valley as well as the Orange and Hilltops regions. The breadth of soils and microclimates allow First Creek to produce a diverse range of varietals, focusing mainly on the Hunter classics Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz. With careful fruit selection and rigorous attention to detail at the winery, First Creek produce wines with bold, yet refined, regional character.

First Creek make wine at every price point. The Winemaker's Reserve range, made only in select vintages, showcases the best of their Hunter Valley vineyards. The Single Vineyard and Regions wines follow on behind.
