Wine
Crittenden Estate Cri De Coeur Pinot Noir is made from the finest parcels of fruit grown at the estate vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula. The name Cri De Coeur is French for 'Cry of the Heart'.
The fruit is tipped into a small open fermenter with all of the whole clusters remaining intact. After two weeks of uninterrupted fermentation, the grapes are foot stomped.
The wine is pressed to a stainless steel tank, where it settles briefly before being racked to a second use, tight grain French oak puncheon. Natural malolactic fermentation and 18 months of maturation follow.
The wine is then racked to tank and bottled unfined and unfiltered. It ages in the bottle for a further 12 months before release.
Deep crimson, Crittenden Estate Cri De Coeur Pinot Noir has vibrant fruit flavours, spicy notes and fine textured tannins. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
