The Château Bethanian Shiraz
Wine
Château Tanunda The Château Bethanian Shiraz is sourced from the sandy loam soils of an estate vineyard planted in 1960. It is located at Bethany, the oldest settlement in the Barossa Valley.
The grapes are destemmed, but not crushed. They spend seven days on skins in open fermenters to extract colour, flavours and tannins. The wine is basket pressed to French and American oak to mature for 18 months.
Rich crimson, Château Tanunda The Château Bethanian Shiraz has dark berry flavours, fine grained tannins and a long finish. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
