Katnook Estate Amara Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is made to express the intricate microclimate of the Amara Vineyard, which sits atop Coonawarra's famous terra rossa soils.

The wine is made in tiny quantities and only in exceptional vintages. Select parcels of wine are matured for 12-18 months in 225 litre barrels, around half new. Most of the oak is French, with a proportion American in some years.

Dark plum red, Katnook Estate Amara Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has layered dark fruits with subtle oak and polished, fine grained tannins. Cellaring potential is 18 years.
