Heinrich Shiraz Mataro Grenache
Wine
Rolf Binder Heinrich Shiraz Mataro Grenache is a tribute to winery founder Rolf Heinrich Binder and his love for these classic Barossa varieties. It typically comprises 50% Shiraz, 30% Mataro and 20% Grenache.
All the fruit hand harvested from various estate owned vineyards across the Barossa Valley. Each variety is handled separately throughout vinification.
The grapes are crushed and open fermented with pump overs twice daily. Once the ferment is complete, the wine is racked to a mix of French and American oak barrels to age. The final blend is assembled to taste.
Bright crimson, Rolf Binder Heinrich Shiraz Mataro Grenache balances the full bodied Shiraz with the Mataro's earthy tannins and the Grenache's sweet fruit flavours. Cellaring potential is six years.
