Hanisch Shiraz
Wine
Rolf Binder Hanisch Shiraz is 1972 plantings of Shiraz in the Chi-Ro Vineyard at Tanunda. The wine is named after the original owner of the property, Arthur 'Punch' Hanisch.
At age 11, red winemaker Rolf Binder planted this vineyard with his father Rolf Heinrich Binder. Today it is known for producing intensely aromatic, deeply flavoured Shiraz.
The wine matures in 100% new oak barrels, three quarters American and one quarter French. Only the best barrels are chosen for the final blend. It is produced only in exceptional vintages.
Deep crimson purple, Rolf Binder Hanisch Shiraz is full bodied and complex with rich dark fruit flavours, firm tannins and a lingering finish. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
