Talus Riesling
Wine
Mount Langi Ghiran Talus Riesling is handpicked from the Langi Old Block planted in 1975. The site's cool climate, granite sands and minimal irrigation produce grapes with vibrant natural acidity.
The grapes are whole bunch pressed and the juice is cold settled overnight in stainless steel tanks. It is racked with a small proportion of solids to begin natural fermentation.
The fermenting juice is then inoculated with yeast to build texture and complexity. After several days, the juice is seeded with similar alternative yeasts, allowing it to reach complete dryness at cool temperatures.
The wine spends four months on lees to build texture around the characteristic acidity of Mount Langi Ghiran Riesling.
Light straw green, Mount Langi Ghiran Talus Riesling has citrus flavours, its razor-fine acidity and minerality delivering texture and length. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
