Aged Release Shiraz
Wine
Margan Aged Release Shiraz is only produced in the very best vintages. The fruit is selected from vines grown on the ancient volcanic soil of the Fordwich Sill in the Hunter Valley.
The wine is a blend of the best press cuts of Margan Shiraz, pressed directly to new French oak barrels. Here the parcels undergo malolactic fermentation and age for 18 months.
After bottling, the wine is meticulously cellared for five years prior to release, allowing it to showcase the unique style and elegance for which Hunter Shiraz is known.
Deep crimson purple, Margan Aged Release Shiraz has intense blue fruit flavours framed with firm tannins and subtle oak. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
