Wine

Lethbridge Indra Shiraz is drawn from a single, very low yielding block of estate vines north-west of Geelong. The Indra Block, like the rest of the Lethbridge vineyard, is biodynamically managed.

The Shiraz grapes are co-fermented with a small percentage of Viognier. The percentage of whole bunch inclusion is decided on a yearly basis, though it is often a significant portion. The remaining fruit is destemmed.

A minimal intervention approach drives the winemaking. Natural yeasts are used for fermentation, then the wine is transferred to 100 per cent new oak for malolactic fermentation and ageing.

Deep crimson, Lethbridge Indra Shiraz takes after the wines of northern Rhône: spicy and abundant in red and black fruits with fine grained tannins. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
