H10 Block Chardonnay Reserve

Leogate Estate Wines H10 Block Chardonnay Reserve draws fruit from low yielding vines grown at the estate's Brokenback Vineyard at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley.

The fruit is pressed and its juice is cold settled. A portion is sent to fired French oak barrels for wild yeast fermentation and partial malolactic fermentation. The remainder is fermented in stainless steel.

The oak component sees extended lees contact with occasional stirring. After around nine months, the two components are blended and prepared for bottling.

Pale straw, Leogate Estate Wines H10 Block Chardonnay Reserve has rich stone fruit, melon and citrus notes supported by vanillin oak. Cellaring potential is five years.
