Croft Chardonnay
Wine
Henschke Croft Chardonnay is grown in the winery's Lenswood Vineyard in the cool climate Adelaide Hills. It takes its name from Frederick Croft, an orchardist who took up a neighbouring property in 1938.
Purchased by the Henschkes in 1981, the vineyard is perched 550 metres above sea level. The vineyard is biodynamically cultivated. After maturing for 10 months in French oak, the wine is blended and bottled.
Pale gold, Henschke Croft Chardonnay has citrus flavours, nectarine acidity and subtle oak closing in a long, clean finish. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
