Wine

Grant Burge 20 Year Old Tawny is made from the Barossa Valley's traditional tawny varieties Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz. This wine is a five time trophy winner at the Decanter Magazine (UK) awards.

The grapes are open fermented until the desired sweetness is achieved. A brandy spirit is added to stop fermentation. After pressing the wine is matured in seasoned oak barrels and hogsheads.

The wine has an average blend age of 20 years. Grant Burge follow a solera based system. They bottle a limited quantity of the aged tawny each year, then top up the barrels with younger wine.

Deep tawny brown, Grant Burge 20 Year Old Tawny is luscious with aged fruit characters of toffee and spice. It is sweet and mellow, but finishes dry. Drink within a year of purchase.
