Wine

Giaconda Estate Vineyard Shiraz is grown in the amphitheatre block at the top of the property. It has a warm north facing exposure. The surrounding alpine valleys pervade the site.

The grapes are destemmed and crushed. With some whole bunches, they are wild yeast fermented in large concrete tanks. The winery, barrel maturation cave and bottling facility are set up for gravity flow.

Giaconda's underground cave offers optimal conditions for maturation with a stable temperature of 16°C. After ageing for two years in French oak, the wine is bottled without filtration.

Inky garnet, Giaconda Estate Vineyard Shiraz is powerful yet elegant. It has bright acidity, enticing structure and fine silky tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
