Wine
Deep Woods Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is the pinnacle of the house style. It is drawn from the estate's original vines planted in 1987, supplemented by fruit from a nearby vineyard.
The grapes are selected from very low yielding, mature vines. Each parcel is handled and vinified individually. During fermentation pump overs occur regularly to extract colour, flavour and tannins.
Drained from skins directly to new and seasoned French oak, the wine sees malolactic fermentation and maturation in barrel for 18 months. It is made only in small quantities.
Dark purple crimson, Deep Woods Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has vibrant fruit flavours, fully ripe tannins interweaving with the oak, and a long, savoury finish.
Margaret River Cabernet at its best. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
