Wine

Collector Wines Lamp Lit Marsanne is grown east of Murrumbateman in the Canberra District, where the soils are shaley red loams.

It is named after sculptures by Canberra artist Rosalie Gascoigne, which evoke the Australian landscape. Winemaker Alex McKay likens the artworks to winemaking; it too is an expression of the landscape.

The wine blends Marsanne with small amounts of Roussanne and Viognier. The fruit is whole bunch pressed and fermented in seasoned French oak barrels. Each parcel sees full malolactic fermentation and is aged on lees.

Straw with green tinges, Collector Wines Lamp Lit Marsanne is focused, mouth filling and gently fragrant with a long, dry finish. Cellaring potential is three years.
