The Everest Old Bushvine Grenache
Wine
Château Tanunda The Everest Old Bushvine Grenache represents the pinnacle, or 'Everest', of winemaking at Château Tanunda.
Only the best grapes are sourced from a single western Greenock block of old dry grown bush vines. Yields are controlled with careful viticultural management for the finest possible quality Grenache.
Handpicked at optimum ripeness, the fruit ferments in French oak and is hand plunged thrice daily. After basket pressing, the wine completes malolactic fermentation and matures for 24 months on lees in new French oak.
The selection for the final blend is strictly limited, no more than the three finest barrels per vintage. The wine spends a minimum of two years in bottle before release.
Deep garnet red, Château Tanunda The Everest Old Bushvine Grenache is dense and layered with supple tannins, ripe fruit flavours and a spicy finish.
Produced only in exceptional vintages. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
