Yarra Yering Carrodus Shiraz is made exclusively from a small block of Dr Carrodus's original 1969 planted Shiraz. Only enough fruit is grown to produce 1,200 bottles, a selection of just two barrels.

The grapes are hand harvested and destemmed. The juice is pressed directly to half tonne open fermenters. It is gently hand plunged twice daily before basket pressing to French oak for 18 months of maturation.

Deep purple, Yarra Yering Carrodus Shiraz has dense fruit flavours in perfect balance with restrained oak tannins. Dark and mysterious, not for the faint hearted. Cellaring potential is 25 years.
