Single Vineyard Breachley Block Chardonnay
Wine
Helen’s Hills Single Vineyard Breachley Block Chardonnay draws from a single block of vines perched above the home of co-owners Andrew and Robyn McIntosh in the Yarra Valley.
Planted in 1983, the vines bring an aged character to the fruit that cannot be replicated in younger vines. All the grapes are handpicked.
After gentle pressing, the juice is transferred to one third new French oak barrels for wild yeast fermentation on full solids. The wine remains in barrel on fine lees for 10 months of maturation.
Pale straw, Helen's Hill Single Vineyard Breachley Block Chardonnay has intense stone fruit flavours with citrus acidity and creamy oak texture. Cellaring potential is five years.
