Lusatia Pinot Noir

De Bortoli Yarra Valley Lusatia Pinot Noir draws from the Lusatia Park Vineyard at Woori Yallock in the upper Yarra, known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir.

The grapes are handpicked, hand sorted and fermented in wooden vats. About one fifth are included as whole bunches while the remainder are destemmed.

During fermentation, the juice is plunged and given remontage (pump overs). The wine is then aged in new and seasoned casks for about one year. It spends a further three months on fine lees in vat prior to bottling.

Ruby red, De Bortoli Yarra Valley Lusatia Pinot Noir has red and dark fruit flavours with silky tannins and a gentle texture. Cellaring potential is seven years.
