Reserve Shiraz
Wine
McLeish Estate Reserve Shiraz draws from Block 5 of the winery's vineyard along DeBeyers Road at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley.
Planted in 1985, the Shiraz vines grow in the Hunter's typical mix of sandy loam and red volcanic clay soils. After hand harvesting, the fruit is vinified with judicious use of quality oak.
Red purple, McLeish Estate Reserve Shiraz has a dark fruit core with ripe but refined tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
