Cornerstone Karridale Chardonnay
Wine
Juniper Estate Cornerstone Karridale Chardonnay is made with Gin Gin clone fruit sourced from the winery's sustainably farmed Karridale property in southern Margaret River.
The fruit is selectively handpicked. On arrival at the winery, it is chilled overnight then pressed straight to barrel.
Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for 10 months in new and seasoned French oak with early lees stirring. Malolactic fermentation is not permitted.
The best parcels are chosen for the final blend after rigorous barrel selection. At bottling, the wine is filtered but not fined.
Golden green, Juniper Estate Cornerstone Karridale Chardonnay is medium bodied with stone fruit and citrus flavours and a savoury finish. Cellaring potential is five years.
