Estate Pinot Noir
Wine
Rochford Estate Pinot Noir is made with fruit handpicked from sites across the Yarra Valley including the Swallowfield, Hill Road and Briarty 9 Vineyards.
The grapes are destemmed and placed as whole berries in open pots. They are cold soaked for several days, then plunged once a day during the ferment.
After pressing the wine is settled overnight, then racked to French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation. It matures for 10 months on lees in oak prior to bottling.
Dark red, Rochford Estate Pinot Noir's red fruit flavours lead the charge, with bursts of spice and gentle tannins. Cellaring potential is five years.
