White Label Timbervines Tempranillo Graciano Shiraz
Wine
Margan White Label Timbervines Tempranillo Graciano Shiraz is sourced from the Timbervines Vineyard, grown in red volcanic soils of the Fordwich Sill in the Hunter Valley.
In the vineyard, the Tempranillo, Graciano and Shiraz vines are interplanted to form a field blend. All three varieties are harvested together for co-fermentation.
Since each variety ripens at different times, the challenge in the winery is to balance their different levels of ripeness. Fermentation occurs under cool conditions using a cultured aromatic yeast.
Post ferment the wine matures in a mix of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
Deep purple, Margan White Label Timbervines Tempranillo Graciano Shiraz is medium bodied with plush fruit flavours, fine acidity and soft tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
