Wine
Dowie Doole Rosé draws from estate vineyards in McLaren Vale. The region's proximity to Gulf St Vincent fosters a Mediterranean climate and ensures a long, even ripening period.
The blend is predominantly Grenache sourced from vines planted during the mid-1960s. The remainder is Vermentino.
The wine is inspired by the Rosés of Provence in France. Each variety is vinified separately. The fruit is destemmed, crushed and lightly pressed. The free run juice ferments on lees in a cool tank for three months.
Rose gold in colour, Dowie Doole Rosé has sweet red fruit flavours, a line of citrus acidity and a fresh, dry finish. Cellaring potential is two years.
