Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley Chardonnay represents the best Chardonnay from the winery's Yarra Valley vineyards each year, planted exclusively to the Mendoza clone.

The fruit is handpicked in several passes of the vineyard to ensure each parcel reaches optimum ripeness. The grapes are whole bunch pressed and the free run juice is barrel fermented with wild yeasts over six weeks.

Maturation takes place on lees in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months to develop complexity.

Pale straw, Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley Chardonnay is a crisp wine with citrus and stone fruit notes, toasty oak and a fine acid finish. Cellaring potential is six years.
