Jack's Block Shiraz
Wine
Stanton & Killeen Jack’s Block Shiraz draws from the winery's oldest vineyard, planted in 1921. It is named for John Charles 'Jack' Stanton, fourth generation of the founding family.
The fruit is handpicked and the majority is crushed for fermentation, with a small portion left as whole bunches to lift the aromatics.
Maturation occurs in new and seasoned French and American oak barrels. The French oak builds structure and adds spicy characters, while the American oak enhances the sweetness of the fruit.
Deep red, Stanton & Killeen Jack’s Block Shiraz is full bodied, with its layers of dark fruit, spice and complex structure balanced by acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
