Butchers Block Red Blend

Turkey Flat Butchers Block Red Blend is a traditional Barossa blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Estate grown, it includes fruit from original old vine plantings.
The percentage of each variety differs from vintage to vintage. The focus is on balance – to ensure the character of each variety is evident but not overpowering.
The varieties are fermented separately in traditional open fermenters. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in French oak barrels, a small portion new, followed by maturation. Only then are the varieties blended.
Deep red, Turkey Flat Butchers Block Red Blend is medium bodied and fruit driven with layers of spice, fine tannins and a savoury edge. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
