Estate Pinot Noir
Wine
Clyde Park Estate Pinot Noir draws from five blocks of the estate vineyard. These blocks contain seven different clones planted between 1988 and 2000.
The fruit is handpicked and vinified in separate parcels. Each is open fermented with wild yeast and some whole bunch inclusion. The cap of grape skins is managed gently to bring out the delicate fruit flavours.
Maturation occurs in one third new French oak barrels over 9-10 months before the wine is prepared for bottling.
Ruby red, Clyde Park Estate Pinot Noir has abundant red fruits and earthy spice, with silky tannins, lively acidity and savoury length. Cellaring potential is five years.
