Generations Malbec
Wine
Bleasdale Generations Malbec celebrates multiple generations of family involvement in the winery and their strong relationships with their growers.
The wine is a blend of estate grown fruit and grapes from specialist Langhorne Creek growers. Each individual vineyard block is picked and handled separately in the winery.
The fruit is predominantly destemmed into open fermenters for two days of pre-ferment maceration, with a small whole bunch inclusion. The fermenting juice is pumped over up to four times daily.
After resting on skins, the wine is drained, pressed and settled for 24 hours. It is then racked to French oak puncheons for malolactic fermentation and to age for 12 months.
Dark purple, Bleasdale Generations Malbec is rich and opulent, with assertive but velvety tannins underscored by toasty oak. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
