Old Station Riesling
Wine
Brand's Laira Old Station Riesling is grown in the Laira Riesling Block, adjacent to the Coonawarra township, and the Kirkgate Riesling Block, which overlooks the railway line.
Once handpicked, the harvests from each block are destemmed and crushed together.
The free run juice is drained with gentle pressing to stainless steel tanks and cold settled for two days. The juice is inoculated with a yeast strain before undergoing cold fermentation.
The wine matures on light lees for four months. It is then is fined and filtered before bottling.
Brilliant light straw, Brand's Laira Old Station Riesling has citrus fruit flavours, zesty acidity and a juicy finish. Cellaring potential is four years.
